Once your XATP Workspace has been set up, you can use your Address Book to track your direct and indirect trading partners. Each entry in the Address Book should reflect the preferred DSCSA point of contact at your trading partner.
Add a Trading Partner #
- From the “Address Book” tab in the dashboard, click the Add Contact button.
- Adding a contact allows you to input known DSCSA contact information for your trading partners
- On creation, you have the option to send your credential along with a request for your trading partner’s credential. Your trading partner will receive the request along with the presentation of your credential. The button in the email links to a short form where the trading partner can confirm their DSCSA information and share an ATP credential (if available).
Trading Partner Validation #
For each trading partner, you have the ability to see their profile including verification status. Trading partners whose ATP status has been validated will show a green badge with the validation method indicated. Trading partners whose ATP status has been validated will show a red badge with “Pending” status.
Credential Validation #
External trading partners who provide credential presentations will be automatically verified with a green badge and “Credential,” as shown below.
Domain Whitelist Validation #
Automatic validation of certain domains (e.g. @customer.com) is available to enterprise customers.
License Validation #
Automatic state license checks are available to enterprise customers.
Manual Validation #
By clicking the “Authenticate manually” button from the Address Book profile, you can manually override the standard validation requirements. This should be done in accordance with your own Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for validating ATP status through other channels. (For instance, if you have a standard process for validating the ATP status of a party that contacted you via email, you may wish to follow that process.)
Upon manually authenticating, you may enter a note on how the check was performed (e.g. how the check was performed in compliance with SOPs). From there, justification for the check is provided in the profile. The default authorization expiry is one year, which can be adjusted upon customer request.
Sending a Credential #
At any time, you can send a Verifiable Presentation of your credential via email. This makes it easy for your trading partners to add your credential to their own Address Books, and demonstrates your ATP status in real time.
DSCSA Portal #
The Address Book integrates with LedgerDomain’s XATP Magic Portal to enable easy access management.
